Note: This procedure is described below using the Corsa C model as an example. On Meriva models, the removal / installation of the front seats is carried out in a similar order.
Attention: When equipping the car with side airbags, strictly follow the safety precautions (see Chapter 10, Section 11)!
1. Disconnect the wires and insulate the battery terminals. Wait at least 1 minute for the SRS battery pack capacitor to fully discharge.
2. On Corsa C 5-door Hatchback models, remove the glove box from the sill trim (see Section 42) and disconnect the front seat belt lower anchor from the seat (see Section 50).
3. Move the front seat back as far as it will go, remove the decorative cover of the side airbag wiring connector and press the yellow release button (see resist. illustration) so that the red button on the end of the connector pops out.

4. Pull out the bolt in the direction of the arrows (A) and disconnect the connector.
54.4. Procedure for separating the side airbag wiring connector (with appropriate equipment)
Attention: Before disconnecting the side airbag connector, discharge the electrostatic charge by briefly touching a metal, unpainted part of the body, such as a door lock bracket!
5. Remove the 2 screws securing the front seat sled to the floor, then move the seat all the way forward and remove the two rear mounting screws (see resist. illustration).
54.5. Front (A) and rear (IN) front seat sled mounting screws: 4. Side airbag wiring connector
6. Remove the seat from the vehicle.
7. Installation is made in an order, the return to an order of removal. Drive the threads of the front seat mounting screws and the seat belt mounting screw, clean and lubricate with a fixing compound (e.g. Loctite 243). At the end of the installation, turn on the ignition and use the warning lamp on the instrument panel to check that the SRS is working (see chapter «Controls and methods of operation»).
