From the side gears of the differential, the torque developed by the engine is transmitted to the front (driving) wheels via two drive shafts of unequal length.
Each shaft is equipped with an inner and outer constant velocity joint (CV joint). The journals of the outer joints are provided with splines, which ensure articulation and coupling with the wheel hubs. On the outer side of the hubs, the journals of the joints are fixed with large hub nuts. The inner joints are also inserted into a sliding connection with the side gears of the differential by means of splines and are fixed with the help of locking rings. The right drive shaft is equipped with a torsional vibration damper, which allows to significantly reduce the level of vibrations when the car is moving.
