Note: It is recommended that this operation be performed by car service specialists.
1. Set the rotary switch for the outdoor lighting modes to position "0" (see Chapter "Controls and operating techniques", Section 17) and turn off the ignition. Disconnect the battery (see Chapter 5).
2. Remove the front bumper cover (see Chapter 11).
3. Remove the 2 upper and 1 lower mounting bolts (see accompanying illustration).

4. On models equipped with xenon headlights, remove the support.
5. Use a screwdriver to disconnect the electrical wiring connector (see illustration 15.3) headlights and remove the headlight.
6. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, pay attention that the gap between the outer edges of the headlight and all mating surfaces is the same along the entire perimeter of the headlight.
7. After replacing the headlight, it is mandatory to adjust the direction of the optical axes of the headlights at a service station that has special equipment for this. On Astra models, approximate adjustment can be made using the appropriate adjustment bolts (see accompanying illustration). However, take your car to a service station as soon as possible.
