Before repairing the engine, it is necessary to remove from it:
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- air conditioner compressor bracket, power steering pump and alternator;
- cooling system pump;
- elements of the fuel system;
- wiring harness and all electrical switches and sensors;
- oil filter;
- flywheel.
If only the cylinder block, crankshaft, pistons and connecting rods need to be repaired, the cylinder head, oil pan, oil pump and timing belt or chain must be removed.
If it is necessary to carry out a complete overhaul, it is necessary to remove from the engine:
- intake and exhaust manifolds;
- toothed belt drive, pulleys and tensioner (except 2.0L diesel engine);
- cylinder head;
- flywheel;
- oil pan;
- oil pump;
- chains and sprockets (diesel engine 2.0 l);
- pistons with connecting rods;
- crankshaft.
