Removing
1. Remove the hood.
2. Remove the battery and battery stand.
3. Block the rear wheels, raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.
4. If the engine is to be disassembled, drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
5. Remove the air cleaner cover, remove the exhaust pipe, disconnect the fuel supply and return hoses from the fuel pump, disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster and the hoses from the intake and exhaust manifolds, disconnect the electrical connectors from the intake and exhaust manifold electrical assemblies, on engines 1, 7 l Disconnect the accelerator cable.
6. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the coolant supply hoses (indicated by arrows) to the engine head and cylinder block.
7. On air-conditioned models, unscrew the compressor mounting bolt and move it away from the engine.
8. Release the air conditioning hoses from the mounting brackets and move them away from the engine.
9. Disconnect electrical wires from starter (IN), generator (A), pressure sensors, oil level and temperature.
10. Unscrew the fastening bolt (indicated by an arrow) ground bus from the gearbox.
11. Unscrew the power steering pump mounting bolt and move the pump to the side without disconnecting the hoses from it.
12. Drain the gearbox oil. Disconnect the electrical connector from the reversing light switch. Disconnect the shift rod from the gearbox. Disconnect the clutch cable.
13. Hook the load handlers onto the power package and lift until the weight of the power package is supported by the load handler.
14. Remove the front suspension lower frame.
15. Take out from a transmission internal hinges of power shafts. Using soft wire, tie the inner ends of the drive shafts to the car body.
16. Check that any elements preventing removal of the engine are removed or disabled.
17. Unscrew nuts and remove the right suspension bracket of the power unit.
18. Install the cart under the engine compartment of the vehicle. Lower the power unit onto the cart and remove it from under the vehicle.
Separation of the gearbox from the engine
See subsection 3.5.3
Installation
1. Check that the guide pins are installed in the engine or gearbox.
2. Install the gearbox to the engine on the guide pins. Establish and tighten bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine by the demanded moment.
3. Install starter and bolt on.
4. Move the power unit under the engine compartment of the car, hook it with the grip of the lifting mechanism and install the power unit in the engine compartment. When installing the power package, tilt and rotate it as necessary so that it locks into place without causing damage.
5. Align the motor with the right mount and hand-tighten the mounting nuts.
6. Replace the driveshaft oil seals and install the driveshafts into the gearbox.
7. Install the lower front suspension frame.
8. Tighten nuts of fastening of the right suspension bracket of the power unit the demanded moment.
9. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
10. Pour oil into the gearbox.
11. Pour engine oil into the engine, and coolant into the cooling system.
