Air Conditioning Control (Opel Vectra B)

            0

Air Conditioning Control

The heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems form a single functional unit, designed to achieve maximum comfort at any time of year, in any weather conditions and outside temperatures.

The air conditioner's refrigeration unit cools the air and removes moisture from it.

When the refrigeration unit is on, fuel consumption increases. If there is no need for cooling, the air conditioner should be turned off.

The air purification filter cleans the incoming air from dust and soot, as well as pollen and spores.

The heater heats the air in any desired operating mode, in accordance with the position of the temperature regulator. Air access is provided by a fan and can be adjusted according to individual needs.

The temperature controller, air distribution controller and blower fan switch have the same functions as the heating and ventilation system switch group.

Above the group of switches for the heating and ventilation system are the switches for the air circulation systems and air conditioning .

Using the air conditioning switch the air conditioner refrigeration compressor turns on (power-on indicator). The blower fan rotates at a low speed, which can be increased if desired.

Using the air circulation system switch the system switches to air circulation mode (power-on indicator).

If smoke or unpleasant odors are detected from outside: temporarily turn on the air circulation system .

The refrigeration compressor switches off automatically when the outside temperature drops below approximately +4°C.

Air conditioning mode

Maximum cooling

Open the windows for a while to allow the heated air to escape faster.
  • turn on the air conditioner ;
  • turn on circulation mode ;
  • set the temperature control to the extreme left position (cold);
  • set the blower fan switch to position 4;
  • set the air distribution regulator to position ;
  • open all air nozzles.

Normal cooling

  • turn on the air conditioner ;
  • turn off circulation mode ;
  • set the temperature control to the extreme left position (cold);
  • turn on the blower fan as desired;
  • set the air distribution regulator to position ;
  • open all air nozzles.

Ventilation without cooling

  • turn off the air conditioner ;
  • turn off circulation mode ;
  • set the temperature control to the left position;
  • turn on the blower fan as desired;
  • set the air distribution regulator to position ;
  • open the air nozzles.

Additional ventilation for the footwell:
  • set the air distribution regulator to position .
