Note: The oil pan gaskets cannot be reused. Prepare new gaskets before removing the oil pan.
Removal
1. The procedure is similar to that described for overhead camshaft (SOHC) models (see Section 2A), with the following changes.
2. It is necessary to remove the lower engine protection plate.
3. Remove both cork gaskets, thoroughly clean all sealing surfaces.
Installation
4. Position the new gasket on the cylinder block, if necessary, apply a small amount of sealant to hold it in place.
5. Position the second new gasket on the oil pan deflector, but do not use sealant.
