Removing
1. On automatic transmission models, to the left of the radiator is a reservoir containing a heat exchanger to cool the transmission fluid. It is connected to the transmission by a pair of flexible hoses with metal tubes at the ends.
2. When removing the radiator, either pinch or loosen the transmission fluid cooler flexible hoses, remove the hoses from the couplers, and quickly plug each hose and coupler to minimize fluid loss and prevent dirt from entering.
Installation
3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Be sure to check the transmission fluid level and top up the transmission if necessary, as described in Section 7B.
