Distributor (models with two overhead camshafts) — removal and installation (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.

2. Remove the breaker-distributor cover as described in Chapter 17.

3. Disconnect the distributor wiring.

4. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the distributor from the cylinder head.

5. Check the condition of the O-ring on the rear of the distributor, replace if necessary.

Installation

6. Perform installation in reverse order.

But please note that the distributor must be installed so that the wiring connector is located on the left side of the distributor housing at the top, when viewed from the breaker-distributor cover.
