Air valve



Removal



1. While working in the luggage compartment, slide the floor panel back to access the air vent.

2. Release all pressure in the system.

3. Remove the valve cover and mounting sleeve, then squeeze the locking tabs and push the valve down, being careful not to damage the air ducts.

4. Unscrew the air duct couplings from the valve and remove the valve.

5. Install in reverse order. Finally, bring the system pressure up to normal and check the connections for leaks.

6. To remove the air duct, first completely relieve the pressure in the system.

7. Unscrew the connecting couplings on the shock absorber and air valve, then release the air duct from the brackets on the bottom of the car.

Installation



8. Perform installation in reverse order. Finally, bring the system pressure up to normal and check the connections for leaks.

9. Removal and installation of shock absorbers are recorded in Chapter 14.
