Examination
Raise the rear of the vehicle.
Remove the cap from the hub.
Attention! Be careful not to damage the cap. Replace damaged cap (water can penetrate through it and damage the bearing).

Use a screwdriver to move the washer relative to the nut.
Caution! Do not apply rotational or lever force to the hub with a screwdriver.
The clearance is adjusted correctly if you can still move the washer by pressing your finger on the screwdriver.
Adjustment
Remove the cotter pin from the hub mounting nut.
Slightly loosen the nut and then tighten it to 25 Nm while simultaneously rotating the wheel. If the adjustment is made with the wheel removed, rotate the hub.

Slowly loosen the nut until it becomes possible to move the washer with a screwdriver.
Insert a new cotter pin into the nut and bend it. If the cotter pin does not fit, tighten the nut to the nearest hole.
Check if the washer still moves.
If the washer does not move, loosen the nut to the nearest hole.
Secure the nut with a cotter pin.
Secure the hub cap.
Lower the car.
