Oil consumption
Oil consumption occurs in engine cylinders. There should be no other consumption, such as leakage. Oil serves:
- For lubrication of rubbing parts.
- Heat dissipation.
- Removal of combustion products.
Oil consumption is considered normal if, subject to operating rules and no leaks, it is sufficient until replacement.
The filling capacity between the "min" and "max" marks on the oil dipstick is about 0.75 liters for a 1.3-liter engine. About 1.0 liter for a 1.6-2.0-liter engine.
Quantity of filling in liters
| Engine | Engine oil with filter change |
| Diesel engine 16D | 1,75/4,6 *) /5,0 **) |
*) with a green oil dipstick, **) starting from 9/84, with a grey or white oil dipstick, starting from engine 16D-14224101.
Replacing the oil filter
The engine oil and filter are changed every 6 months, but can be done earlier if the mileage is: gasoline engine - every 15,000 km, diesel engine up to 8/86 - every 5,000 km, diesel engine after 9/86 - every 7,500 km.
Service stations have a special tool for removing the filter. You can also use a leather belt.
Attention! Tighten the filter only by hand, with a force of 15 Nm.
