1. Release the gear shift boot from the console base and lift it up, removing it from the gear shift lever.

2. Carefully pry up the front edge of the trim around the gearshift lever using a screwdriver, then release the two retaining tabs at the rear. Remove the cover through the gear shift lever.

3. Remove the storage compartment, then release the console cover from its top.

4. Remove the now easily visible screws securing the upper console to the center console base and remove the upper console.

5. Remove the small plastic caps (if they are installed) and remove the screws securing the base of the center console to the floor.

6. Disconnect the front section of the center console base from the retaining tab on the floor and remove the entire assembly from the vehicle.

7. Installation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order.

13. Set the handbrake lever as high as possible and remove the console base towards the rear to release it from the retaining lug at the front. Slide the console relative to the handbrake lever and gear shift lever and remove the console from the vehicle. Note that if there is too little space to fit the console into place, it may be necessary to temporarily disturb the handbrake adjustment to allow the lever to be raised high enough.

14. Installation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order.
