Removing
Remove the top nut 2 from the suspension strut.
Remove the protective cap 1 from the shock absorber.
Remove the front wheel.
Mark the position relative to the wheel hub.
Remove the pendulum 3 from the suspension strut support tube.
Hold the two flat surfaces of the ball stud with an open wrench.
Release the ABS 4 wheel sensor harness from the clips in the guide on the suspension strut support tube.
Remove the shock absorber.
Unscrew 2 screws 5 of the spring strut support tube on the steering knuckle.
Remove the suspension strut from the wheel well.
Installation
Establish a rack on a shock-absorber dome.
Loosely screw in nut 1.
Note. Use a new nut
Install the shock absorber support tube to the steering knuckle.
Tighten 2 new screws 3 and a new nut 80 Nm + 60°+ 15°.
Connect the ABS 2 wheel sensor harness to the retainer clips on the suspension strut support tube.
Mount the pendulum 1 on the suspension strut support tube 65 Nm.
Use a new nut.
Hold the two flat surfaces of the ball stud with an open wrench.
Install the front wheel 110 Nm.
Lower the car to the ground.
Tighten the top nut 2 55 Nm.
Put on the protective cap 1 on the shock absorber.
Check wheel camber, adjust if necessary.
