1. Heat the molding with a hair dryer.
2. Carefully pry up the edge of the molding using a plastic wedge. Gradually move the wedge along the edge of the molding along the entire perimeter, detach it from the door.
3. Before installing the molding, clean the mating surface of the door from any remaining silicone and dirt using a special solvent or gasoline, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
4. The new molding has an adhesive surface on the back. Remove the protective film, heat the surface with a hair dryer and apply the molding to the gluing area. Do not press the molding with great force at first, so that it can be adjusted in case of imprecise application. After the molding is in place, press it firmly to the door.
