Installation of manual and electric windows is the same. The electric window regulator is electronically controlled, i.e. by briefly pressing the switch (less than 0.4 s) the glass can move at intervals. As a result of a longer pressing of the switch (longer than 0.4 s) the glass moves automatically until fully opened or closed. If the glass above the middle of the window encounters any obstacle, it immediately stops and opens slightly. The power window motors are equipped with an overload switch in case the window jams, for example due to icing.
Removing
1. Remove facing of a door.
2. Remove the protective film. Make sure that the film does not tear. Seal the torn film or replace it.
3. Install the glass at the level of the upper mounting hole and fix it with two plastic wedges.
4. Disconnect the connector in the door.
5. On models Corsa and Combo unscrew the rail mounting bolts (4), having previously marked their position. Remove from glass guide (2) lift sliders (3).
guide (2), bolts of its fastening (4) and lift (3)
6. On the model Tigra unscrew the rivets securing the window guide, having previously marked their position. Remove the lift sliders from the glass guide.
7. Drill out the rivets (1) (refer to illustration) - windows are shown with a manual drive for fixing glass with a drill with a diameter 8.5mm and knock them back with a punch.
Do not damage the outer leaf of the door.
8. Take out a window regulator from a door.
Installation
1. Before installing a new power window, check its operation. To do this, install the drive handle or connect the e / motor and turn on the window regulator.
2. Lubricate the power window sliders with grease and insert into the guide.
3. Rivet the lift to the door with 4.8x11mm steel rivets.
4. Alternatively, you can fix the window regulator with bolts and nuts. Lubricate the nuts with a fixing sealant.
5. Connect electrical wiring.
6. Remove the plastic wedges.
7. Adjust the power window control electronics. To do this, close all doors and turn on the ignition. Close the windows with the switch. Hold the switches in the window closing position for at least 2 s.
8. Check up operation of a manual drive of a window regulator. The glass should move up and down easily.
9. Stick on the protective film and install the door lining.
