Cars produced since 09.1998 may be equipped with a side airbag built into the sides of the driver's and front passenger's seat backs. Seats with a side airbag are marked with white stripes with the red inscription "AIRBAG". The airbag sensor is located on each side behind the door trim. On cars equipped with side airbags, observe safety regulations when working with side airbag components and emergency belt tensioners.
