Replacing the interior door trim (Opel Insignia A)

Removal

1. Front doors: remove the exterior rearview mirror mounting trim (1).



2. Using a small flat-head screwdriver or similar tool, pry up the corner (1) to detach and remove the door release handle cover (2).







3. Using the VO-347 tool, detach the door handle cover in area (1).

4. Remove the door handle cover (2).

5. Remove the three door trim fasteners (1).

Note: To facilitate removal, lower the door glass completely. Mark the number and location of the fasteners for correct installation of the inner door trim later.

6. Using the VO-569-A tool, detach the fasteners (1) of the inner door trim starting from the bottom.







7. Disconnect the door lock cable.

8. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the inner door trim (2).

Installation

Note: Use new fasteners to install the interior door trim.

1. Install the inner door trim using new fasteners.

2. Connect the electrical connectors.

3. Connect the door release drive cable.

4. Install three door trim fasteners (1).







5. Install the door release handle cover (1) and the door handle cover (2).









6. Front doors: Install the exterior rearview mirror mounting trim.
