Attention.
- Do not attempt to repair or replace the impact absorbing material bonded to the headliner and pillar trims. If the material is damaged, replace the headliner and/or pillar trims.
- If the vehicle is equipped with a curtain airbag, make sure that the curtain airbag module and the limiter are not damaged. If any damage or defects are found, the corresponding components must be replaced with new ones.
- Be careful when working in the area of the curtain airbag module. A sharp tool can puncture the curtain airbag. If the curtain airbag module is damaged in any way, it must be replaced.
1. Deactivate the additional passive safety system.
2. Remove sun visors:
- Remove the cover (1) and unscrew the three screws (2) securing the sun blind.

- Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the sun visor (3).
3. Loosen the mounting screws (1) and remove the sun visor supports (2).

4. Pull the front ceiling grab handle down and, holding it in this position, use a small screwdriver to unhook the covers of the mounting bolts. Unscrew the bolts (1) and remove the front ceiling grab handle (2).

5. Remove the windshield pillar trims.
6. Remove the upper trims of the central body pillars.
7. Remove the upper trim panels of the rear body pillars.
8. Remove the overhead console and ceiling lamps assembly.
9. Remove the front passenger seat.
10. Move the driver's seat forward as far as it will go and tilt it.
11. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the ceiling panel (1).

Note.
- For the station wagon version with sunroof: Using a plastic spatula, pry and carefully remove the double-sided tape (1) between the headliner and the roof panel, then disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the headliner (2).
- When installing the ceiling trim, use new double-sided tape, installed using an industrial hair dryer.

12. Remove the ceiling panel from the vehicle through the front passenger door opening.
13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
