Vectra/Calibra cars
Removing
Unhook the triangular cover at the mirror attachment point.
With a wide spatula, pry up and remove the door handle trim.
Vectra vehicles: remove seven screws (see arrows in fig.) with a cross slot.
On Calibra vehicles: Remove six screws.
Unfasten the plastic button. To do this, insert in a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow between the door trim and the door pocket. Slightly press the plastic hook back (to the back of the door), while pulling the trim away from the door.
Pull the door button up. Disconnect the button with a narrow screwdriver and remove the handle.
Remove window handle (if there). To do this, use the Opel KM-317 tool to press the wire clamp, as shown in the figure. You can also use a Hazet 799 collet. If none of these tools are available, the clamp can be pressed out by turning in the direction of the arrow using a narrow screwdriver.
Remove the power window handle from the axle. If, when removing the clip, it was completely removed from the handle, press it into its groove.
Remove plastic washer.
Unfasten and remove the door trim. To do this, pull the door trim away from the door frame in the area of the plastic buttons shown in the illustration. The front door trim on Vectra vehicles is fastened with nine buttons, and on Calibra vehicles (as well as the rear trim in Vectra cars) - twelve.
Disconnect the power mirror connector (if there) on the front door frame.
Remove trim. Disconnect connector from speaker (if there).
Carefully remove the sealing film from the door.
If necessary, move forward and remove the inner door handle from the door. Tilt the handle down and disconnect it from the rod.
Installation
If the inner handle has been removed, connect it to the rod and insert it into the door.
Carefully stick the sealing film to the door. The film serves to isolate the interior from water and drafts. Therefore, it must be glued evenly, without folds. Seal the torn areas with adhesive tape.
Put on the door trim, connect the connectors for the electric mirror and speaker (if there).
Align the trim on the door and fasten with buttons.
On vehicles with manual power windows: Slide the plastic washer over the handle shaft with the protruding side.
Put the handle on the window lifter axle and press it with your thumb; in this case, the spring must enter the groove of the axle. When the window is closed, the handle should point down. If not, press the cover slightly and straighten the position of the plastic washer.
Screw in six or seven screws securing the casing.
Place the door button on the rod and turn it so that it can be pressed flush with the bottom edge of the trim. Pin button.
Attach the triangular mirror cover.
Snap on the inside door handle cover.
