...and the key «at 13» for unscrewing the nuts of the hydraulic brake pipes, as well as a screwdriver with a flat blade.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Pry off the retainer of the expansion tank to the bracket with a screwdriver..
3.... remove the latch..
4.... and take the tank aside without disconnecting the hoses from it and without draining the coolant.
Note. Removing the expansion tank is necessary because it completely blocks access to the ABS hydro-electronic unit.
5. Use a screwdriver to pry the retainer of the wiring harness block of the ABS hydro-electronic unit..
6.... fully extend the latch..
7.... and disconnect the block from the block.
8. Loosen the nuts on the six hydraulic pipes connected to the hydraulic unit.
9. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the hydroelectronic block to an arm on a body.
10. Remove the block from the bracket, disconnect the hydraulic system pipes from it one by one, immediately plugging the holes in the block with pre-prepared plugs of a suitable size (wooden or rubber), and remove the block.
Attention!
- After removal, do not overturn or tilt the hydro-electronic unit strongly.
- If, when removing the block, to allow complete leakage of the brake fluid from its cavities, then after its installation, air removal will be required using a special tester. It will not be possible to remove air from the system in the usual way using the brake pedal.
11. Establish the hydroelectronic block of antiblocking system of brakes and all removed details in an order, the return to removal.
12. Remove air from the hydraulic brakes (see Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system).
