Removal and installation seat belts (Opel Astra J)

            0

The front and rear seat belts are secured to the body in the same way using the same fasteners. The difference lies in the location of the attachment points and the body panels that must be removed to access these points. In this regard, the work is shown using the driver's seat belt as an example.

You will need: 10 mm socket head, TORX T50 key, flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery, as the seat belts are equipped with pretensioners.

Attention!
  • After disconnecting the wire from the negative terminal of the battery, you must wait at least 15 minutes; only after this time can you begin to remove the seat belt equipped with a pretensioner.
  • Disassembling the seat belt pretensioners is prohibited.
  • The reels of the belts with pretensioners must not fall and water or oil must not get into them.
  • Do not expose seat belt pretensioners to temperatures above 95°C.
