Speed sensor front wheel installed in the hole of the steering knuckle of the front suspension. To replace it, follow the steps below.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Remove the front wheel (see Wheel replacement).
3. Remove the front wheel speed sensor harness holder from the hole in the front suspension subframe.
4. Press the clamp of the wiring harness block to the sensor mounted on the front suspension subframe..
5.... and disconnect the vehicle wiring harness connector from the sensor harness connector.
6. Pry off the sensor wiring harness block with a screwdriver and disconnect it from the subframe.
7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the gauge to a rotary fist …
Note. For clarity, it is shown with the caliper and brake disc of the front wheel brake mechanism removed. These components do not need to be removed to replace the sensor.
8.... and remove the sensor from the fist hole.
9. Prying with a screwdriver..
10. … Disconnect the holder of a plait of wires of the gauge from a rotary fist.
11. Using a screwdriver, pry off the covers of the two sensor harness holders on the front suspension arm..
12.... open the covers..
13.... remove the wiring harness from the holders..
14.... and remove the sensor.
15. Install the front wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal.
Speed sensor rear wheel installed in the rear suspension beam flange hole. To replace it, follow the steps below.
1. Disconnect the wire from the terminal «minus» battery.
2. Engage 1st gear and chock the front wheels.
3. Raise the rear of the vehicle, securely support it, and remove the rear wheel.
4. Remove the rear fender liner (see Removal and installation of fender liner).
5. Press the lock of the wiring harness block to the sensor installed in the rear wheel arch..
6.... and disconnect the vehicle wiring harness connector from the sensor harness connector.
7. Prying off the sensor harness block with a screwdriver..
8.... disconnect it from the body.
9. Prying off the sensor harness holder with a screwdriver..
10.... disconnect the harness from the body side member.
11. Pull the sensor harness holder..
12.... and disconnect it from the brake hose.
13. Remove the sensor harness holder from the slot in the brake hose bracket.
14. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the gauge of frequency of rotation of a back wheel to a flange of a beam of a back suspension bracket …
15.... remove the sensor from the flange hole..
16.... and remove the sensor.
17. Install the rear wheel speed sensor in the reverse order of removal.
