Removal and installation the tailgate lock (Opel Astra H)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery (see Chapter 5).

2. Remove the lower trim of the tailgate and the door lock trim (see Section 15).

3. Disconnect the rear lid lock wiring connector.

4. Remove the 3 mounting bolts (see accompanying illustration) and remove the lock from the tailgate.



5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. After installation, check the proper functioning of the locking mechanism with the tailgate open.
