Removal and installation the base of the outer door handle (Opel Astra H)

1. Remove the outside door handle (see Section 19).

2. Remove the door trim (see Section 21).

3. On the front door, remove the 2 fasteners (see illustration 23.3) at the back of the door frame.

4. Remove the insulating film from the back.

5. Loosen the screw located on the outside of the front support of the door handle by 5 turns.

6. Disconnect the door lock rod from the support bracket (see Section 18) and remove the bracket (see accompanying illustration) from the door assembly.



7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
