Single shaft (SOHC) engines
1. Decompress the fuel system. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. The order of removal and partial disassembly of the branch pipe is illustrated in the photo.
3. Install in reverse order
Twin-shaft (DOHC) engines 1.4 and 1.6 l
4. Decompress the fuel system. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
5. Remove the upper engine cover by unscrewing the screws and removing the oil filler plug.
6. Disconnect the intake air duct from the top of the air filter and throttle (see above). On Zafira models, this will require removing the seal and deflector panels under the windshield (see above)
7. Disconnect the purge hose from the absorber tank on the left side of the air duct (see photo).
8. Disconnect the damper drive cable from the throttle pipe.
9. Turn away bolts and turning, raise a throttle branch pipe. Designate and disconnect from a branch pipe hoses.
10. Disconnect from a throttle branch pipe of a wire and get a branch pipe.
11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Replace all gaskets and seals of disassembled joints
Engines 1.8 and 2.0 l
12. Decompress the fuel system. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
13. Remove the upper engine cover by unscrewing the screws and removing the oil filler plug.
14. Disconnect the connector from the film air flow meter (see photo).
15. Release the clamps and disconnect the air duct with the air flow meter from the throttle pipe and the air filter. On Zafira models, this will require removal of the engine compartment seal, deflector panels under the windshield and the cover above the bulkhead of the engine compartment (see above).
16. Disconnect the damper drive cable from the throttle pipe. On cruise control models, remove the cotter pin and disconnect the cruise control cable end from the ball joint on the choke lever.
17. Turn away bolts and remove an arm of a cable from a branch pipe.
18. Disconnect from a branch pipe a ventilating hose.
19. Pinch the cooling system hoses and disconnect them from the throttle pipe (see photo).
20. Disconnect from a throttle branch pipe a ventilating hose of a fuel tank.
21. Disconnect from a branch pipe sockets.
22. Designate and disconnect other hoses from a branch pipe. Loosen the bolts and remove the pipe (see photo).
23. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Replace all gaskets and seals of disassembled connections Attention! If the throttle pipe is replaced with a new one, the engine processor unit must be adapted in a car service.
