2. Drain the gasoline from the tank through a hose (or use up the rest of the gasoline). There is no drain plug in the tank.
3. Remove the exhaust pipes.
4. Loosen the parking brake adjusting nut.
5. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the rear brake levers (Chapter 9).
6. Remove the cable from the brackets and move it away from the tank.
7. On Astra models, disconnect the connector from the fuel pump (see above). On Zafira models, disconnect the fuel pump wire connector under the vehicle (see photo).

8. Remove the rubber apron of the filler neck of the tank and unscrew the bolt securing the neck to the body (see photo).

9. Remove the rear right wheel and fender guard.
10. Mark and disconnect the hoses from the filler neck. Disconnect the hoses at the base of the filler neck. Loosen the bolt and remove the filler neck.
11. Mark and disconnect both fuel lines from the tank. Remove the fuel filter (see photo).

12. Hang the tank on a jack dolly, placing a board underneath.
13. Loosen the bolts and nuts and remove the fastening straps. Carefully lower the tank, disconnecting the remaining wires and hoses.
14. Installation is carried out in reverse order. When finished, adjust the parking brake.
