5.1 Construction of the Multitec single nozzle injection system
1. Engine speed sensor
2. Throttle
3. Nozzle (MAP sensor)
4. Throttle angle sensor
5. Knock sensor
6. Intake manifold pressure sensor
7. Canister purge valve with absorber
8. Ignition block
9. Recirculation valve
10. Oxygen sensor
11. The electric drive of switching of idling
2. Maintenance of the injection system is carried out in a car service. A diagnostic connector is provided to test the single-injector injection system (see photo), which is mounted under the decorative trim, next to the parking brake lever.
3. 1.4L and 1.6L twin-shaft engines are equipped with the Multitec S multi-injector injection system (see photo).
5.3 Design of the Multitec S multi-nozzle injection system
1. Engine speed sensor
2. Stroke knock sensor
3. Recirculation valve
4. Throttle angle sensor
5. Electric idle switch
6. Intake manifold pressure sensor (MAP sensor)
7. Canister purge valve with absorber
8. Ignition block
9. Oxygen sensor
10. Coolant temperature sensor
11. Manifold air inlet temperature sensor
12. Camshaft rotation sensor
4. A malfunction of this system is indicated by the warning lamp on the instrument panel. The diagnostic connector of the system is mounted under a decorative trim, next to the parking brake lever (see above).
5. 1.8L and 2.0L engines are equipped with the Simtec 70 multi-nozzle injection system (see photo), which differs from the Multitec S system only in the presence of a mass air flow meter.
