Models with 2.0L SOHC engine
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the air hose from the throttle body and air cleaner and remove the hose.
3. Disconnect the accelerator cable and remove the cable mounting bracket from the intake manifold.
4. Clamp the water hoses and disconnect them from the throttle body. Disconnect the connection connectors.
5. Disconnect the vacuum and vent hoses. Remove the mounting nuts and remove the throttle body.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Models with 2.0L DOHC engine
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Release pressure from the fuel system.
2. Disconnect the air temperature sensor and air flow sensor connectors (indicated by the arrow).
3. Disconnect the air hose from the cylinder head cover.
4. Loosen the clamps and remove the air intake pipe.
5. Disconnect the accelerator cable.
6. Loosen the connection nut (A), then loosen the pipe mounting bolt (B). Disconnect the fuel supply pipe and remove the mounting bracket.
7. Clamp the water hoses, release the clamps and disconnect the hoses (indicated by arrows).
8. Disconnect the remaining connection connectors and vacuum hoses, unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the throttle body.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2.5 and 3.0 liter engines
Removal
1. Remove the upper section of the intake manifold.
2. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the throttle body.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Replace the sealing rings.
