2.0L SOHC Engine
Removal
1. Loosen the exhaust pipe mounting bolts and disconnect the exhaust pipe.
2. Remove the heat shield.
3. Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the exhaust manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2.0L DOHC Engine
Removal
1. Remove the air damper and air supply hose.
2. Disconnect the exhaust pipe. Unscrew the mounting nuts and remove the exhaust manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2.5 and 3.0 liter engines
Removal
Exhaust manifold of the right bank of cylinders
1. Remove the intake manifold and flange.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Disconnect the sensor connection connectors (indicated by arrows).
4. Disconnect the water hoses (indicated by arrows).
5. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the exhaust pipe (indicated by arrows).

6. Remove the oil filter.
7. Unscrew the nuts of the oil pipe connections on the cylinder block (indicated by arrows).
8. Loosen the connection bolts and disconnect the pipes from the oil cooler (the sealing rings are indicated by arrows).
9. Remove the water hose.
10. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the lower heat shield.
11. Remove the upper heat shield.
12. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the right exhaust manifold.
13. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation pipe.
14. Remove the additional air supply system tube.
15. Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the exhaust manifold.
16. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Exhaust manifold left cylinder bank
17. To remove the left exhaust manifold, remove the engine from the vehicle or remove the cylinder head.
18. Disconnect the water and air pipes.
19. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shields.
20. Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the exhaust manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
