On models with a 2.0L engine, the exhaust system consists of three sections: a downpipe with a catalytic converter, an intermediate pipe and muffler, and an exhaust pipe and muffler.
On models with 2.5 and 3.0 liter engines, the exhaust system consists of five sections: an inlet and an intermediate pipe for each of the cylinder banks, an exhaust pipe and a muffler.
Removal
To remove the exhaust system or its components, lift the vehicle and place it on supports.

1. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connection connector (indicated by the arrow). The connection connector is attached to the side of the gearbox.

2. Unscrew the mounting bolts (indicated by arrows) exhaust system inlet pipe.

3. Unscrew the bolts securing the intake pipe to the intermediate pipe (indicated by arrows).

4. Loosen the mounting bolts, remove the pipe from the mounts and remove it from the vehicle.

5. Loosen the clamp (indicated by the arrow), securing the exhaust pipe to the intermediate pipe.
6. Remove the pipe from the mountings and remove it from the vehicle.
The entire exhaust system
7. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connection connector.
8. Loosen the mounting bolts, release the rubber mounts and remove the exhaust system.
Heat shields
9. Various nuts and bolts are used to attach the screens to the body. After removing the corresponding section of the exhaust system, the heat shield can be removed.
Installation
Installation of all elements is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
