1. The procedure for removing the cylinder head cover is illustrated in the photo.



2. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Carefully clean the inner surface of the cover from resinous deposits. Place the gasket in the groove on the cover, ensuring that it is positioned correctly along the entire length (see photo). Insert the bolt seals, securing them with grease (see photo). Lubricate the surfaces of the rear camshaft journal covers and the semicircular plugs with sealant.


Engine 1.8 l
3. Remove the engine cover by removing the pins.
4. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the crankcase ventilation hoses (see photo). Remove the ignition module (Chapter 5B).

5. Disconnect the temperature sensor wire from the cover and the hose from the thermostat housing, then unscrew the bolts and remove the cooling system pipe bracket, move the pipe to the side (see photo).

6. Unscrew the bolts and remove the cover, remove the seal.
7. Installation is performed in the reverse order. Thoroughly clean the inner surface of the cover from resinous deposits. Place the gasket in the groove on the cover, ensuring that it is positioned correctly along the entire length (see photo). Install the sealing rings in place. Attach to the thermostat and secure the cooling system hose (see photo). Restore the fluid level in the cooling system.


Engine 2.0 l
8. Remove the air filter housing (Chapter 4A).
9. Remove the upper belt cover.
10. Disconnect the hoses from the cover (see photo).

11. Loosen the screws and remove the casing covering the spark plugs, disconnect the wires from the spark plugs.

12. Unscrew the bolts and remove the cover, remove the seals and plugs.
