Removal and installation the fuel filter mounting clamp (diesel) (Opel Vectra C)

1. The fuel filter of the diesel engine fuel system is attached to the rear bulkhead of the engine compartment using a special clamp. In some cases, after removing the filter, it may be necessary to dismantle the clamp.

2. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery

3. Disconnect the connectors (see accompanying illustration) fuel filter wiring, carefully pull the fuel filter up out of the mounting clamp and set it aside

Note: There is no need to disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel filter.

4. Remove the service cover on the fairing grille.

5. Loosen the 3 mounting nuts (see accompanying illustration) from the back side of the rear wall of the engine compartment, remove the stiffener.

6. Separate the electrical wiring line from the clamp and remove the clamp.

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
