Maintenance work
The remote maintenance battery needs to be changed every two years. But no later than the time when the range of remote service is weakening.
Use a narrow slotted screwdriver to open the battery pocket on the remote control.
Flip up the battery cover.
Take out the old battery. Observe the installation position.
Insert a new battery.
Press down on the battery cover until the latches are heard.
Used batteries must be properly disposed of in order to protect the environment.
The photo shows the fuel filler cap lock servomotor with the trunk liner removed. The control rod is directed forward and can be pulled back by hand if the lock is faulty.
Tip: the battery of the radio remote control must be changed within 3 minutes, otherwise the remote control must be reprogrammed.
New remote control programming
The radio remote control must be reprogrammed if:
- radio interference occurs, for example, when waves from external radio systems of higher power are superimposed
- battery replacement lasted more than 3 minutes or
- if the remote control keys are repeatedly pressed repeatedly outside the range of the receiver in the car (children's desire to play).
Synchronization is carried out within seconds after the ignition is turned on - then the receiver is in synchronization mode for 30 seconds - as described below:
Disconnect the key from the radio remote control, turn on the ignition with the key.
Point the remote control in close proximity to the receiver.
Briefly press the remote control key.
The subsequent synchronization is confirmed by a one-time locking and unlocking of the central lock.
Tip: if you lose the radio remote control, you need to stock up on a new hardcoded transmitter, which is only possible in the workshop with the help of a programming device.
