Maintenance work
The remote service battery must be replaced every two years. But not later than when the remote service range weakens.
Use a narrow flat-head screwdriver to open the battery compartment on the remote control.
Fold the battery cover upward.
Remove the old battery. Observe the installation position.
Insert a new battery.
Press the battery cover down until you hear the latches click into place.
Used batteries must be disposed of properly to protect the environment.
The photo shows the fuel filler cap lock servo motor with the trunk trim removed. The control rod points forward and can be pulled back by hand if the lock is faulty.
Tip: The battery of the radio remote control must be replaced within 3 minutes, otherwise the remote control must be reprogrammed.
New remote control programming
The radio remote control needs to be reprogrammed if:
Original source is on the website OPELBOOK
- radio interference occurs, for example, when waves from external radio systems of higher power interfere
- the battery replacement lasted more than 3 minutes or
- if the remote control keys have been pressed frequently and in succession outside the range of the receiver in the vehicle (childish desire to play).
Synchronization is performed within seconds after the ignition is turned on - then the receiver is in synchronization mode for 30 seconds - as described below:
Disconnect the key from the radio remote control, turn on the ignition with the key.
Point the remote control in close proximity to the receiver.
Press the remote control button briefly.
The subsequent synchronisation is confirmed by a one-time locking and unlocking of the central lock.
Tip: If you lose your radio remote control, you need to get a new transmitter with a hard code, which is only possible in a workshop using a programming device.
