Replacing the remote control battery (Opel Corsa C)

If the remote control malfunctions/its range is reduced, the battery must be replaced immediately. Using a screwdriver or other suitable tool, separate the remote control from the key (see illustration 8.1)To remove the battery, slightly turn the screwdriver to release the lock and open the service cover (see illustration 8.2), remove the battery and install a replacement one in its place, observing the polarity. Close the service cover, install the remote control in place and press it until it clicks.

After replacing the battery, you must synchronize the remote control (see below). Note: If the battery is replaced in less than 3 minutes, synchronization may not be necessary.



Make sure that the remote control is functioning properly - if necessary, contact the Opel service station specialists for help, where you can always buy replacement batteries. It is recommended to use CR 2032 batteries.

Synchronization of the remote control device

Synchronization of the remote control device should be performed after replacing the battery or in case of failure of the remote control due to multiple attempts to use it outside the range of the remote control. To synchronize the system, you need to unlock the driver's door with the key and insert it into the ignition. Turn on the ignition - the system will be in synchronization mode for about 30 seconds. Then, without removing the key from the ignition, press any button on the remote control - to confirm the end of the synchronization process, the door locks should lock and unlock once.
