The anti-theft alarm system can be activated or deactivated via the door locks or the radio remote control. At the same time, the central lock is then unlocked or locked. The key can only activate or deactivate the system from the driver's door. The trunk lid or rear lid, when the anti-theft alarm system is activated, can also be opened with the key. To do this, the key must be turned to the right as far as it will go. The key cannot be removed in this position. After closing the trunk, turn the key back to its original position. After 10 seconds, the anti-theft alarm system is activated again.

When the system is activated, an alarm is triggered if:
- the power supply to the central lock is interrupted;
- the wire for activating/deactivating the anti-theft alarm system is cut;
- the wire for activating/deactivating the vehicle's drive-away lock is cut;
- there is a ground connection for the door contact switch, the rear light switch or the engine compartment switch (door open signal);
- the voltage in the ignition current circuit (terminal 15) changes;
- no ground connection to the contact hinges or heated rear window in the model with the slanted rear section (signal "Broken glass");
- the interior monitoring device signals the presence of intruders in the interior.
Tips: The interior monitoring system can be disabled to leave animals in the car. Disconnecting and connecting the battery does not affect the anti-theft alarm system. After that, the anti-theft alarm system is set to the mode that existed before disconnecting the battery.
