Cigarette lighter (Opel Vectra B)

When the ignition is on, the electric cigarette lighter receives voltage through the corresponding fuse. If the cigarette lighter does not work despite a working fuse, then the insert of the heating coil is loose or burnt out. The cigarette lighter lighting lamp can be replaced, see chapter "Lighting".

Depending on the configuration, a large number of relays and fuses are also located in the engine compartment:
1 - radiator fan (K87);
2 - radiator fan (K67);
3 - radiator fan (K51);
4 - radiator fan (K52);
5 - radiator fan (K53);
6 - radiator fan (K28);
7 - radiator fan (F50 and F52); or without air conditioning (F72);
8 - radiator fan without air conditioning (K67);
9 - number of revolutions, compressor (K60) or without air conditioning radiator fan with coasting after switching off (K34);
10 and 11 - not installed;
12 - fuel pump with 1.8/2.0 l engines (K44);
13 - fuel pump with 1.6 l engine (K44) or injection valves with 1.8/2.0 l engines (K43);
14... 17 - not installed;
18 - headlight washer system (K97);
19 - secondary air boost (K12).

After removing the ashtray/bottle holder (2), the cigarette lighter (1) is accessible. The following numbers indicate: 3 — cigarette lighter lighting; 4 — cigarette lighter wire connector.


Removal the cigarette lighter



Remove the center console, see chapter "Salon".

Remove the ashtray/bottle holder.

Remove from the cigarette lighter socket.

Disconnect both connectors from the back of the holder.

Remove the holder from the light ring.

Unlock the cartridge and remove it together with the light ring.
