Working Technique Tips
Brake fluid is poisonous. Do not allow it to come into contact with your mouth.
Brake fluid corrodes car paint. Therefore, do not place rags soaked in brake fluid or tools contaminated with brake fluid on top of the paintwork.
When removing the brake hose or brake tube, all fluid gradually flows out of the expansion tank. This can be prevented as follows: before loosening the screw connection, loosen the bleed valve in the relevant brake circuit. Put a bleed hose on it and lower it into a container. Now fully depress the brake pedal and leave it in this position with a wooden plank. In this way, the supply holes in the cylinders are closed - the brake fluid no longer flows out.
To unscrew and tighten the brake pipes, you must purchase a brake pipe wrench.
After working on the hydraulics of the brake system, it is necessary to remove the air. It is often sufficient to bleed only the brake circuit on which the work was carried out.
