Dismantling
Stepped back: Disconnect the plug connection of the cable harness at the left hinge.
Mark the installation position of the trunk lid. To do this, circle the heads of the bolts with a felt-tip pen.
Together with an assistant, unscrew the trunk lid from the hinges.
Install a new cover according to the marks.
To adjust the height are rubber buffers in the trunk lid. If necessary, unscrew or screw in the buffers.
Sloped back: unscrew the inner lining of the back cover.
On vehicles with central locking, disconnect the wire connectors on the servomotor.
Disconnect the wire connectors at the wiper motor and heated rear window.
Removing the back cover on a Vectra with a beveled back. Press the locking clip with a screwdriver and press the gas-filled shock absorber from the rear cover.
Remove the retaining clips with a screwdriver (2) from fingers (1) on both rear cover hinges and push your fingers towards the middle of the car.
Remove the hose from the glass washer nozzle.
Remove the wiring harnesses from the rear cover.
Together with an assistant, press the safety clips and press the gas-filled shock absorbers out of the mounts in the cover.
Remove safety rings from hinge pins.
Press both fingers of the hinges to the middle of the car and, together with an assistant, remove the rear cover.
Rubber buffers are used to adjust the back cover. Screw or unscrew the buffers accordingly.
Dismantling the lock of the rear cover / trunk lid
Open the rear lid or trunk lid.
Remove the interior upholstery. Remove the control rod. To do this, remove the lock at the ends of the rod from the clamps.
Loosen the torx bolts and remove the lock from the tailgate or trunk lid.
When mounting, attach the control rod and insert the clamps.
Dismantling the rear cover / trunk lid lock drum
Open the rear lid or trunk lid.
Remove the interior upholstery.
Unblock and wring out draft of management.
Unscrew the fixing nuts and remove the lock drum.
Insert the key into the lock so that when dismantling the lock drum, the locking plates and springs do not fall out.
Wring out a safety ring on the back end of a drum of the lock. Make sure that the safety ring is not lost during the spin cycle.
Lubricate the new lock drum with anti-corrosion insulating spray and mount the lock.
