Dismantling
Remove the inner door handle, see section «Removing the door trim» in this chapter.
Dismantle the inside of the triangular bar. To do this, carefully pry the bar away from the door frame with a wide screwdriver.
Unscrew the base of the mirror from the inside (three screws), while holding the mirror outside.
Slightly raise the exterior mirror and disconnect the plug connection of the adjustment wires and, accordingly, the heating of the mirror.
When installing, connect the wire connector and install the mirror on the door frame, then screw.
When screwing on the mirror, make sure that the sealing bead is positioned above the mirror housing. If necessary, lift the seal slightly and slide the housing under it.
Install triangular bar and inner handle.
Check the function of the mirror adjustment and heating.
Tip: For information on how to operate and test the power mirror, see chapter «Tools and devices».
Mirror glass and mirror motor replacement
Wear work gloves if the mirror is shattered.
Press the mirror glass in the upper corner located inside.
Grasp the corner of the mirror, located diagonally opposite, and remove from the spring clips. To do this, you can use a plastic wedge.
Behind the mirror glass, disconnect the heated mirror wire connector. While doing so, hold the riveted contact tabs to avoid damage.
If necessary, unscrew the servomotor from the mirror housing. Disconnect the wire connector.
When mounting, insert the mirror glass into the mount and press until it locks into place. In this case, also wear work gloves.
Once again, press the mirror glass from the inside and from above so that the mirror adjustment mounts fit into the grooves.
After installation, check the function.
