1. Pressing the locking pin
2. After moving the shift lever, the lock pin should return to its original position
The mechanism is adjusted through a clamping bolt that secures the gearshift rod to the gearshift control rod. The bolt is located on the rear of the transmission in front of the bulkhead of the engine compartment and is accessible from above on most models.
1. Loosen the shift rod clamp bolt, but do not unscrew completely.
2. In the passenger compartment, remove the protective casing of the gear lever. Fix the shift lever by inserting a steel rod or a 5 mm drill into the hole located on the left front side at the base of the lever.
3. Lock the gear selector by pressing the spring-loaded lock pin located on the gear selector cover (see fig. Location of gear selector lock pin).
4. After fixing the shift lever and gearbox, tighten the shift rod clamp bolt in several stages.
5. Remove the lock rod from the gear lever and check the operation of the gear change mechanism, and the gear selector lock pin should automatically return to its original position when the gear lever is moved.
