Gear shift mechanism — adjustment (Opel Omega B)

1. Set the gearshift lever to neutral. Raise and support the front of the vehicle.



2. Remove the retaining clips (indicated by the arrow).



3. Remove the gearshift mechanism protective cover.



4. Loosen the tension bolt (indicated by the arrow).

5. Disconnect and remove the gear shift lever boot. Slide the rubber boot of the lever back.

6. Install the KM-631A tool into the shift lever housing and press the lever to the right.

7. Turn the gear shift rod clockwise until it stops.

8. Tighten the tie bolt.

9. Remove the locking tool and check the operation of the shift mechanism.
