Draining the oil from the gearbox will be faster and more efficient if this operation is performed after warming up the engine to operating temperature and conducting a test drive to warm up the gearbox.
1. Raise the front of the car and secure it on stands. Remove the engine splash shield.
2. Wipe the area around the differential cover and install an oil container.
3. Loosen the differential cover mounting bolts gradually and evenly and drain the engine oil into a container.
4. After draining the oil, wipe the mating surfaces of the gearbox and differential cover and install the differential cover with a new gasket and secure with bolts.
