Removal and installation



SOCH 1.6L Engines

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the oxygen sensor located on the sensor wires. Release the sensor wiring from the mounting brackets so that the sensor can be removed together with the manifold.

2. Remove the exhaust pipe.

3. Remove the heated air intake from the exhaust manifold.

4. Remove the engine oil dipstick and remove the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs of cylinders 2 and 3. Unscrew and remove the heat-resistant screen of the exhaust manifold.

5. Unscrew the nuts and remove the exhaust manifold from the engine together with the gasket.

6. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. In this case, it is necessary to use a new exhaust manifold gasket.

7. Remove the secondary air supply system pneumatic valve and connecting pipe.

8. On 1.6L models, disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector located on the wires, release the wiring from the mounting brackets so that the sensor can be removed together with the manifold.

9. Unscrew the bolts securing the exhaust inlet pipe to the manifold.

10. Unscrew the nuts and remove the exhaust manifold together with the gasket.

11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, while it is necessary to install new gaskets for the exhaust manifold and exhaust inlet pipe.
