Power steering pump (2.0L diesel engine) (Opel Vectra B)

Warning! Do not separate the power steering pump from the bracket. New pumps are supplied with brackets.

Removal

1. Using clamps, pinch the supply and return hoses near the tank.

2. Remove the auxiliary drive belt.

3. Remove the air conditioning compressor.

4. Place a container under the power steering pump and disconnect the delivery line from the pump.

5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the return pipe from the pump.

6. Remove the bolt securing the dipstick tube to the pump and move the tube to the side.

7. Unscrew the bolts securing the pump bracket to the engine and remove the pump from under the engine.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Fill the hydraulic system of the power steering with fresh fluid and bleed the air.
