Removal
1. Set the front wheels to move straight ahead.
2. Remove the lower instrument panel trim on the driver's side, then remove the air duct connecting the distributor and heater.
3. Using paint or a marker, make alignment marks on the intermediate shaft and the bottom of the steering column and steering gear.
4. Remove the upper and lower intermediate shaft clamp bolts.
5. Remove the intermediate shaft universal joint from the steering shaft and remove the intermediate shaft from the steering gear pinion.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
