1. Set the wheels to the straight ahead position. Remove the ignition key from the lock.
2. Remove the lower lining in the driver's footwell by unscrewing the screws and removing the latches. Remove the heater air duct.
3. Mark the mutual position of the cardan joints in relation to the steering column and the steering gear shaft, unscrew the bolts of the clamps (see photo).
4. Compress the shaft and remove the universal joints from the shafts of the steering column and steering gear (see photo).
5. The shaft is not subject to disassembly and, if wear of the hinges or curvature is detected, it changes entirely.
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Align the marks made during disassembly (if the hinge is installed incorrectly on the splines, the clamp bolt will not go into the hole).
