Bleeding air from the power steering circuit (Opel Astra G)

1. Air from the power steering circuit is removed at room temperature. It is prohibited to perform this procedure after the trip. The procedure for removing air on TRW and Delphi systems is the same.

2. Bring the level up to the MAX mark on the tank indicator. Start the engine. With the engine running, slowly turn the steering wheel in both directions until it stops, repeating the procedure 3 times.

3. Stop the engine and check the fluid level, add fluid if necessary (see photo).





4. Start the engine and make sure there is no increased noise from the steering mechanism, repeat the procedure if necessary (increased noise indicates incomplete air removal).
