Removing
1. Remove the steering gear.
2. Remove the appropriate tie rod end.
3. Measure the distance from the tie rod end lock nut to the end of the tie rod, then unscrew the lock nut.
4. Loosen the clamps and remove the protective cover of the steering gear.
5. Unscrew the tie rod inner ball joint from the rack and remove the tie rod.
Installation
1. Screw the ball joint into the gear rack to the required torque.
2. Establish a protective cover of the steering mechanism on its case and steering draft and fix it with collars.
3. Screw the locknut back into the position it was in before removal.
4. Install the tie rod end.
5. Install steering gear.
6. Check and, if necessary, adjust the angles of the front wheels.
