Emission Control System Tube and One-Way Valve — Removal and Installation (Opel Vectra A)

Note: Use new air duct washers during installation.


Removal



1. Remove the one-way valve air hose.

2. Unscrew the engine mounting eye bracket bolts and turn the bracket to the left.

3. Remove the pipe bracket by unscrewing the three bolts

4. Remove the heat-insulating shield by unscrewing two bolts.

5. Now the air duct can be removed by unscrewing the two mounting bolts.

6. If necessary, the one-way valve can now be disconnected.

7. Carefully clamp the pipe in a vice with protective jaws. Unscrew the valve from the pipe, clean and inspect it.

Installation



8. Before installation, coat the threads of the one-way valve with sealant (i.e. Opel #90094714).

9. When installing the pipe, use new washers. Coat the pipe mounting bolts with assembly paste (Opel No.90513210).
